Sea trip 2016 / journal

Coucou,

We went to the Belgian coast some days ago with our friend Sarah and we had so much fun. We stayed in a cosy little apartment for 4 days right by the sea. We went longboarding a lot since the coast is THE place to be for longboarding and we also took a lot of pictures simply because we like taking pictures lol. Here's the link if you want to see what the apartment looks like in case you're just curious or interested in a cool lil trip at the Belgian coast ;-)

In this blogpost we will basically just tell you what we did during these 4 days including some pictures. Aaand we also made a YouTube video because we ended up having some really nice shots so we decided to share it with you guys. We hope you like it as much as we do. (One thing; there is a problem with watching the video on your phone because of the song and it's authors rights, you do can watch it on your laptop) We really can't make a blogpost without some problems lol :-)

DAY 1

We left around 14:00pm, which is pretty late but we could only get in the apartment around 16:00pm. The first thing we did was of course packing everything out and after that we immediately went longboarding since the weather was suprisingly good. Just because we had the chance to arrive on a Sunday, we could go to the evening market and buy the best crepes on earth, like literally THE BEST. We firstly bought 2 warm crepes for each plus 2 packages of 1kg "cold" crepes. We weren't thinking about eating 2kg crepes during the 3 following days but.... we did oops. While longboarding we obviously couldn't resist to take pictures. So here are some of them:

Absolutely love this picture, we weren't very serious in front of the camera (as always) but it came out pretty awesome. ;-)

The floor of this kind of gallery was literally heaven to longboard on.

This was taken in our little but oh so nice apartment, just look at the carpet omg.

DAY 2

Day two consisted of a lot of shopping. First of all we went grocery shopping in the morning because yes food is important yknow ;-) and in the afternoon we went doing some serious shopping and we ended up buying so many clothes.... 0 things yay. (even in Zara, how's that even possible, especially for Manon). Between the shop sessions we went to the beach to relax a bit with some music and delicious grapes which are so refreshing (our addiction during these 4 days). In the evening we made pad thaï, a typical thai dish. But all in all we actually didn't really do something special that day.

DAY 3

We woke up around 5:30am to watch the sunrise in Bredene. The beach is so beautiful since there are dunes and it was also just super calm (probably because of how early it was lol) but it just felt more natural than in the "touristic" Ostend which hasn't got dunes, you just see buildings when you're on the beach and the sea on the other side ofc. Anyways we just really loved it there. The location was perfect for pictures so we again had to take some pictures. We got back in Ostend around 10:00am (not quite sure though) and we were literally so confused. It was only 10:00am but it felt like 13:00pm. The day looked so long, which was so weird yet so nice. After staying a bit in the apartment we went to the beach and went for a swim because it was really hot that day. We stayed there for a couple hours and then we decided to make our picnic which we took to the beach. After the picnic we went out for a late evening run for like 25mins. Lol we feel like we did so many things, no, we actually did so many things, it's crazy.

The only "good" picture of us.. At least the light was beautiful :-)

THIS PHOTO IS SO PRETTY WE BOTH LOVE IT SO MUCH.

DAY 4

The 4th day aka the last day at the sea, time literally flew. We started the day by packing all our stuff and cleaned the apartment so we could give the keys back around 11:00am. Next we just went longboarding again but it was too warm so we gave up after 15min. We decided to just go to the beach again and swim in the sea. Well we swam 3/4 of the time because it was just way too warm to lay on the beach. Everything was all fun and nice until Sarah and I (Manon) were stabbed by a jellyfish. We firstly didn't even know what it was, it felt so weird but to be honest we actually thought it would be worse, we were kinda lucky and Amber for sure. We ended up by leaving the beach, and the Belgian coast in general, very quickly because of the heat and all the people. We didn't really take pictures that day...

So our 4 days at the sea basically consisted of taking pictures, longboarding, swimming and ofcourse making/eating delicious food.

We really hoped you liked this kind of 'journal' bogpost about our little sea trip.

There will be a new blogpost very soon, so stay tuned!

Love,

Amber & Manon
